New Jersey Lottery Draw Games

The New Jersey Lottery offers seven draw games covering daily digit games, in-state lotto games, and multi-state jackpots. With add-on options like Fireball, XTRA, and Double Play, New Jersey players have more ways to win than most states. All lottery revenue supports education and state institutions.

Pick 3 (3 digits, 0-9)

Pick 3 lets you choose three digits from 0 to 9. Drawings are held twice daily: midday at 12:59 PM ET and evening at 10:57 PM ET. Play types include Straight, Box, Straight/Box, Front Pair, and Back Pair. A $1 straight bet pays $500. The Fireball add-on gives you an extra chance to win by replacing any one drawn digit with the Fireball number, creating additional winning combinations for an extra $1 per play.

Pick 4 (4 digits, 0-9)

Pick 4 works similarly to Pick 3 but with four digits. Midday draws at 12:59 PM ET and evening draws at 10:57 PM ET. A $1 straight bet pays $5,000. Fireball is also available for Pick 4, substituting any one of the four drawn digits with the Fireball number for additional ways to match.

Jersey Cash 5 (5/45 + Bullseye)

Jersey Cash 5 is New Jersey's signature in-state lotto game. Pick 5 numbers from 1 to 45 with drawings nightly at 10:57 PM ET. The XTRA option multiplies non-jackpot prizes for an extra $1. The Bullseye feature draws a sixth number from the same pool — if one of your five numbers matches the Bullseye, you win additional prizes. Overall jackpot odds are approximately 1 in 1,221,759.

Pick 6 (6/46 + XTRA + Double Play)

Pick 6 draws 6 numbers from 1 to 46 every Monday and Thursday evening. Jackpots start at $2 million and roll over when not won. The XTRA multiplier boosts non-jackpot prizes for an extra $1. Double Play adds a second drawing using the same numbers, with a fixed top prize of $500,000. Pick 6 offers the best in-state jackpot odds in New Jersey at roughly 1 in 9,366,819.

Millionaire For Life (5/58 + Mega Ball 1/5)

Millionaire For Life is a multi-state game that replaced Cash4Life in February 2026. Pick 5 numbers from 1 to 58 plus a Mega Ball from 1 to 5. Drawings are held daily at 9:00 PM ET. The top prize is $1 million a year for life, and the second prize is $1,000 a week for life. Jackpot odds are approximately 1 in 21,846,048.

Powerball (5/69 + 1/26)

Powerball draws Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday evenings. Pick 5 numbers from 1 to 69 plus a Powerball from 1 to 26. The Power Play multiplier can boost non-jackpot prizes up to 10x. Jackpot odds are 1 in 292,201,338. New Jersey does not tax lottery winnings for state residents, making it one of the most favorable states for big winners.

Mega Millions (5/70 + 1/25)

Mega Millions draws Tuesday and Friday evenings. Pick 5 numbers from 1 to 70 plus a Mega Ball from 1 to 25. The Megaplier multiplies non-jackpot prizes up to 5x. Jackpot odds are 1 in 302,575,350.

Which NJ Game Should You Play?

For daily action with Fireball bonus plays, Pick 3 and Pick 4 draw twice a day. For the best in-state jackpot odds, Pick 6 is the choice. Jersey Cash 5 with Bullseye offers nightly excitement and extra prize layers. For lifetime income, Millionaire For Life pays out for life. For the biggest jackpots with no state tax on winnings, Powerball and Mega Millions are hard to beat.
